Package pygaia.utils

This package provides pygaia utility functions.

pygaia.utils.construct_covariance_matrix provides a convenience function for constructing covariance matrices from the astrometric and radial velocity uncertainties and correlations listed in the Gaia Catalogues.
pygaia.utils.gaiadr_timespan provides the precise time spans of the data collected for each Gaia Data Release. The time spans can be used, for example, when simulating Gaia observation times with the Gaia Observation Forecast Tool.
